| Ken is a long term member of the PC Party of Ontario and a fiscal conservative who believes in hard work, smaller government and lower taxes. Ken was a financial analyst who was named an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers in 1998 and has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and is a member of both the Toronto Real Estate Board and the Real Estate Council of Ontario. Along with being a diligent member of several social, cultural, and political organizations and boards in Toronto, Ken was appointed president of the Canadian Tamil Chamber of Commerce, a voluntary non-profit organization that promotes volunteerism and entrepreneurship in Canada. | |
| Ken has been instrumental in the success of many fundraising activities for charitable and political causes, including Haiti Earthquake Relief, the Scarborough Hospital Foundation, the Providence Healthcare Foundation, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Ken also served in various vice president positions in the Scarborough Centre EDA of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Scarborough Centre Provincial P.C. Party Association. In addition, in 2007 he worked as an assistant to the campaign manager for the Scarborough Centre provincial election. Ken actively participated in many Policy Advisory Council meetings and attended numerous PC Party Annual General meetings as a delegate. Ken enjoys working on community projects. He regularly volunteers to host Tamil events and TV shows such as Political Desk on the Tamil One TV network. Recently, Ken was presented with a “Ten Years of Community Service Award” by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration. He is married and a proud father of two children. | |
